Holcomb Property Management (HPM) is a family-run company specializing in commercial property management based in Sacramento, California.

Specializing in retail, office and industrial space, as well as owner’s associations, HPM has had their hands in the industry since the early 1980s.

Where We Started

Setting the Foundation

Through partnerships with Coldwell Banker, Colliers, and Ravel, Tom Holcomb found there was an oversight within the industry for smaller properties that required a different kind of attention and care than was provided by larger management companies.

Putting Up the Framework

Tom founded the company with his son, Mike Holcomb and each serve as President and Vice President, respectively.

Adding in the Details

In 2011, another son, A.J. joined the team and assumed the role of Treasurer. Together Mike and A.J. now run the day to day operations allowing Tom more flexibility.

The Final Results

Today, Holcomb Property Management has the ability to work with owners who want to accomplish their goals, setting gains in their investment properties.

Who We Are

Tom Holcomb

Tom is a Vietnam veteran who met his wife while serving. He, as an Army Medivac Pilot, would drop injured people to Mike and A.J.’s mother who was an Army nurse. Tom found work after flying for the army as a CPM, managing commercial real estate and moved to Santa Rosa, Poway, and eventually, Sacramento. Tom has had the past industry honors of President of IREM-Sacramento and Chairman of Sacramento Commercial Realtors, both in 1991. See Tom’s Resume here.

Mike Holcomb

Mike is a graduate of Chico State and focused on Computer Science. Graduating in 2002, Mike found the tech “bubble” bursting yet no computer tech jobs available. One day he had a discussion with Tom and they had an epiphany that Tom had the experience and Mike had the tech skill to create their own property management company! Holcomb Property Management survived the recession due to their hard work and sacrifice and became stronger through the adverse time. See Mike’s resume here.

A.J. Holcomb

A.J. was the last addition to round out the team in 2011. This allowed Holcomb Property Management the manpower and flexibility to handle any issues that might arise in property management, including someone being on-call 24/7, 365 days a year. A.J. just finished his AA in Business at American River College and was looking to enter into the Real Estate field when offered to join Holcomb Property Management. Due to A.J.’s background as an Eagle Scout (1999) and his penchant to be reliable, Tom and Mike offered an associate position within the company to him. See A.J.’s resume here.
